With the in-depth implementation of the "the Belt and Road" initiative, the economic and trade cooperation between China and the SCO member countries has become increasingly close. In this context, in April 2022, Shandong Nongben Chunhe Wansheng Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement with the "China Shanghai Cooperation Organization Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Zone Management Committee" to commission the construction of the "SCO Demonstration Zone Animal Husbandry Breeding and Breeding Base".

This project is not only another important achievement of economic and trade cooperation between China and member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, but also a deep promotion of cooperation in the field of agriculture. The construction of the project will further promote exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in economic, cultural, technological and other fields, injecting new vitality into regional peace and development.

The construction of animal husbandry breeding and breeding base in Shanghe Demonstration Area aims to build a national animal husbandry production circular economy industry and an agricultural demonstration base of the "the Belt and Road", build a breeding and breeding group breeding center for high-quality beef cattle seed industry, and then create a core breeding center for high-quality beef cattle in China. Establish a genetic resource pool for breeding high-quality new breeds of beef cattle, including semen, embryos, and cells; Breeding high-quality beef cattle, producing high-quality frozen semen, embryos, and high-quality beef, providing high-quality core breeding sources for the domestic beef cattle breeding market.

It is understood that although China has abundant resources of beef cattle breeds, the direction of improvement and breeding of beef cattle breeds has not been clear enough over the years, and there is a significant gap compared to developed countries. The SCO demonstration zone's animal husbandry and breeding base will break the current situation where China's core beef cattle breeds heavily rely on imports, and lay a solid foundation for the next step of participating in the international market competition in the seed industry.

  Seed source security is related to national security, and we must be determined to develop China's seed industry, achieve technological self-reliance and self-reliance in seed industry, and ensure national food security from the source.  

As an important component of the China Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) local economic and trade cooperation demonstration zone, the construction of animal husbandry and breeding bases in the SCO demonstration zone will undoubtedly inject new impetus into promoting economic and trade cooperation between China and SCO member countries. We have reason to believe that with the joint efforts of both parties, this project will surely achieve a complete success and write a new chapter for regional peace and development.
